Today, In Black History….

Often forgotten in the pages of history in America, Black people have held significant parts of the American story. today we honor some of their accomplishments as we take a trip back in time to remember some of the most significant persons in our pasts and kindle the spark of life within all of us. This is Today in Black history.

January 24th

Aaron Neville,  an acclaimed American R&B musician was born on this day in 1941.

Ayanna Howard, an Electrical Engineer was born on this day in 1972.

Renee J. Amoore a healthcare executive was born on this day in 1953.

Tatyana Ali, American Actress best known for her role as Ashley on the Fresh Prince, was born on this day in 1979

Jackie Robinson, famed African American Baseball player. Known to be the first to enter the major leagues was inducted to the baseball hall of fame on this day in 1962
