November 13th


On this day in 1839, the liberty party,  the first antislavery party organized in Warsaw, New York.

on this day in 1956, the supreme court upholds a case on the desegregation of buses in Montgomery, Alabama. A month later on December 20th, the buses were completely desegregated

On this day in 1913, Daniel hale Williams became the first African American to be elected into the College of Surgeons, he is best known for being the first surgeon to perform open-heart surgery.
